World, meet my niece Louise! My family(my side), finally has another girl in the family after years of boys!!!!! So I am pretty smitten with her.
She was not a fan of pictures though. And to date, probably my most challenging newborn to photograph. She was having some icky stomach issues when we were taking pictures and she is already a total mommy's girl. But, I still adore her and we worked around her tummy issues!
As soon as my brother and his wife told me they were having a little girl, I knew I had to do something special for them. So I contacted a local company, Happy Little Fin, and asked for her help in making a custom headband for my family. She was able to create some beautiful hair pretties out of my dad's favorite flannel shirt! My dad passed away nearly 18 years ago when we were younger and I have been trying to find ways to make his shirt into fun memories!
The only problem, we had to keep it a secret for several months. It was SO SO SO hard for me to not burst with the news, and they almost found out when my family was rummaging through my props during my nephew's session. A huge thank you to Alyssa at Happy Little Fin for helping me create something beautiful out of a ripped old flannel. It means the world to my family.
And as luck would have it, one of my other favorite local prop shops, Lolo and Max in Mankato MN, happened to design a matching plaid and lace dress, so I snagged that up as well!
Isn't that the cutest little headband on the sweetest little thing? I am bias, but she is adorable!
She also has the cutest little dimple and I just want to smooch her cheeks and watch her smile all the time!!! So here she is, little Lou!
