One thing I regret in my life is that I never had newborn images taken of my own children. Sounds crazy, right? I am a newborn photographer, why don't I have lovely little images of my kids? Because we have to make mistakes before we can become better. I attempted newborn images of my own children, and well, they looked like pinterest fails. It definitely is not as easy as it looks folks. So, I spent a year training, learning and growing to become a photographer that specializes in newborn photography. Thus launched the beginnings of Red Barn Photography in SW Minnesota! And you know what? 4 years later, I am still learning. But it has been so worth it! Every baby that has peed on me, pooped all over my props, been fussy during the session, WORTH IT! And I am so happy to be able to create images for my clients that I never had the chance to create for myself.
This summer I gained another nephew(like honestly, how many nephews can one person have?)! As soon as my sister told me she was having a boy, I knew two things. Hockey and Star Wars would be a part of his session! I informed my sister she was in charge of bringing the hockey gear-cuz I will be honest, I am clueless about hockey(how can I live in the state of hockey and not understand it?!). She had no clue I was creating something special that went with the Star Wars theme in the 2 older boys' room and their playroom.
So here is a recap on his session! He was a dream for me!
